My target audience is young males aged 18-25, who are interested in mature yet unique and innovative indie rock music, fans of artists like Frightened Rabbit, Vampire Weekend, or Half Moon Run. People who have a passion for collecting music in it's physical form (CD's, cassettes, Records, etc) and have an appreciation for music new and old.

Rationale:

I believe my concept pieces will appeal to my chosen target audience for various key reasons.

 -  They blend together modern and vintage styles, which is an aesthetic which is popular with young people these days, which fits with my target audience.

 - It is done in a similar style to similar products which are consumed by the same target audience, such as albums by Mumford & Sons, Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Noah and the Whale, etc. This style should appeal to my target audience by default since it is similar to things they already like.

 - I have used a combination of bold, iconic colours on my initial designs, which is proving popular amongst young males in the modern indie-music scene.

 - The composition and layout of the main drawn-design on the album cover design is unique and unusual, which will stand out to my chosen target audience because this is a common tactic to stand out on modern indie album covers.

 - The conceptual tour poster design has the graphic design and photography/drawn elements overlapping, which is a sleek and modern design with retro elements which will appeal to the target audience.

 - My concept designs are bold, unique and expressive, which reflects the personality of my chosen target audience.
